Video assignments in teacher training

Abstract
The focus of this presentation was on the use of video assignments in two English courses for pre-service primary school teachers (Years 4-6). The assignments were introduced for three reasons: to increase student-teacher contact time, to facilitate the development of students' oral proficiency, and to provide opportunities for using digital tools. The assignments have proven to provide an important complement to other student work, as well as to be time-saving for teachers. A description of the assignments, together with student and teacher evaluations, was presented.
