Matematiker tilldelas donation på 100 miljoner

Matematiska institutionen vid Stockholms universitet tilldelas en donation på 100 miljoner. Avkastningen från donationen ska gå till stipendier till yngre forskare.

Sverker Lerheden, entreprenör med bakgrund inom bland annat fastighetsbranschen, har beslutat att tilldela Matematiska institutionen vid Stockholms universitet en donation på 100 miljoner kronor och inrättar Sverker Lerhedens stipendiefond. Syftet med fonden är att främja vetenskaplig forskning inom matematik, matematisk statistik och beräkningsmatematik.
