Examination services
Are you taking a hall examination? Here you'll find practical information about how to register, what applies during the examination, and how to receive your results. Remember to bring valid physical identification – digital ID documents are not accepted.
You must register in Ladok to be permitted to sit an examination. This applies to both examinations and re-examinations. If you're not registered, you cannot participate.
Register for the exam
The final registration date can be found in Ladok, on the learning platform (Lärplattformen), or by contacting your department.
How to register
- Log into Ladok
- Register for the correct examination session for your course
- Check that your registration has been recorded
- Contact your department if you encounter technical problems
Deregistration
If you cannot sit the exam, you should deregister in Ladok at least 10 days before the examination. If you've missed the deadline, you should still deregister – it helps with planning.
Writing two exams simultaneously
If you wish to sit two examinations simultaneously, you must contact both Examination Services and your department before the final registration date to receive confirmation that you can sit both examinations.

Taking an exam for a course no longer offered
If you wish to sit an examination for a course that is no longer offered, or if you're no longer registered as a student, you should contact your department. They can advise whether it's possible and how to proceed.
Support during examinations
If you have a permanent disability, you can apply for support during examinations.
A few days before the exam (2–5 days), you'll see in TimeEdit which hall you're to sit in and what support you've been granted. This might include:
- Extended writing time
- Individual room
- Place in a smaller group
On examination day, the examination invigilator will explain how long your writing time is and any other support that applies.
