Research project Preschool’s encounters with ”beggars”.
Social vulnerability as an ethical and pedagogical question.
How do preschool staff deal with children’s – as well as their own – encounters with social vulnerability? Which experiences do they have of meeting vulnerable people together with preschool groups? How do they negotiate these encounters? How do they experience the children’s reactions, individually and collectively?
Which ethical and pedagogical tensions and challenges – as well as possibilities – do these encounters create? How do preschool staff approach “difficult” questions, such as social vulnerability, in general with children?
The aim of this study is to contribute to knowledge and reflection about these questions.
