Macroeconomic research include theoretical and empirical work on economic growth, optimal taxation, monetary and fiscal policy, and topics in international economics.
Macroeconomics, as covered by the research at Stockholm University, is very broadly defined and covers the intersection with a number of subfields, such as public policy, inequality, labor, consumption, housing, and so on. It is concerned with both short- and long-run phenomena, i.e., business cycles and growth as well as structural change, and it uses a wide range of methods, including theory and empirical work using aggregate and micro data.
