About the course

Biology from a garden view. Provides an understanding of how garden plants operate and interact with their environment, with lectures giving the scientific background to opportunities and problems in the garden. We go through both fundamental mechanisms like nutrition, photosynthesis, classification and the role of water in plant and topics like biodiversity, pests and plant diseases.

The course is a part-time course (25%), and is held during spring term. Lectures will take place on Wednesday evenings.
