Ecology I, 15 credits

About the course

Ecology is the study of which factors affect the distribution and diversity of species, and how species adapt to the world around them. The course will take up different levels of ecological organisation: individuals, populations, communities and ecosystems, using examples from micro-organisms, plants and animals. The course includes a field-work project, to be planned, carried out, and reported. The course is a component of the bachelor programmes in biology and in biology-earth science. It can also be taken as an individual course.

The course is given in the period August - October and also in March-June.
