Entrepreneurship in the Welfare State
The aim of this course is to explore key components of design for insightful transformation and collaboratively create strategies for igniting positive transitions towards a more regenerative future; from a product and service level up to societal systems-level.
The course allows students to elaborate on how to move beyond the ambition to climate neutrality and instead aim at fulfilling people’s needs by generating positive behavioral change, through life-affirming lifestyles that also conduct to economic growth.
The starting point for the course is to understand and define the paradigm shift, addressing the power of purpose and methodologies for successful trans-disciplinary collaborations. Going through systems thinking, transition design methodologies, and how to navigate through transformation the course works with circular
design strategies and doughnut economics to give the full circle perspective on the necessities to create tangible and climate positive systemic concepts. The broad content will give a light, yet complete overlook of how to design for insightful transformation.
