The master's programme in linguistics (60 Credits) gives you in-depth knowledge in your chosen major field of study. As a programme student, you are trained in planning, performing and reporting independently research work. The specialisation in phonetics focuses mainly on experimental studies of speech.
The programme leads to a master's degree(60 Credits) in linguistics and makes you eligible to apply for postgraduate education.
The master's programme in linguistics consists of both compulsory and elective courses. The following courses are recommended as elective courses during semesters 1 and 2:
Data collection in speech and voice research, 7.5 credits (planned for spring 2025)

Programme overview
The master's programme comprises two semesters of full-time studies. The program starts with a course that is compulsory for all specialisations and ends with a degree project and a joint essay seminar. Elective courses are chosen in consultation with the director of studies or study counselor.
