Chinese II
The course develops the basic knowledge of oral and written Chinese as well as hearing and reading comprehension in modern standard Chinese (putonghua).
The course also provides knowledge of politics and religion in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the diaspora.

Teaching for Modern Chinese IIa and IIb consists of lectures and language skills exercises individually and in groups.
Teaching for Practical Language Skills II is given in the form of seminars and practical language skills exercises individually and in groups.
The teaching of Politics as well as religion in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the diaspora are given in the form of lectures and seminars.
Attendance at all classes is mandatory.

Assessment
The module Modern Chinese II a is examined through 5 written dictations, 3 written assignments and a final written assignment.
The course Modern Chinese II b is examined through 5 written dictations, 3 written assignments and a final written assignment.
The course Practical Language Proficiency II a is examined through 5 written assignments and 1 oral presentation.
The course Practical Language Proficiency II b is examined through 5 written assignments and 1 oral presentation.
The course Politics and religion in China, Taiwan, Hongkong and the diasphora is examined by a short oral presentation and a final written home exam.
