Social Psychology 1
The course provides a basic orientation in social psychological concepts, theory, method and research.
In this course, we study how people's thoughts, behaviors and feelings are affected by and affect others. The course deals with classic social psychological areas such as the way people think about themselves and others, social identity, attribution, prejudice and discrimination, social influence, conformity and group processes.
Furthermore, attention is paid to the various scientific methods that social psychologists use to study, understand and explain human behavior.
During the course, opportunities are given to apply social psychological theory and research partly through empirical group work, and partly through analyzes and examination of phenomena and events in the surrounding and everyday world.
This is the third course within the Psychology I - Course Package (PS11KP).
