This seminar is devoted to three books that have appeared recently by members of the scholarly network formed during the Uppsala conference “Translation in Russian Contexts: Transcultural, Translingual and Transdisciplinary Points of Departure” in 2014:

Adrian Wanner: The Bilingual Muse: Self-Translation Among Russian Poets (Northwestern University Press, 2020)

Julie Hansen is Associate Professor of Slavic Languages at Uppsala University and a specialist in comparative literature and Slavic literatures.

Zakhar Ishov is a research fellow at IRES, Uppsala University.

Adrian Wanner is Liberal Arts Professor of Slavic Languages and Comparative Literature, Pennsylvania State University.
