Learn to cite with Zotero in 30 minutes

Lecture

Date: Monday 1 December 2025

Time: 12.00 – 12.30

Location: Drivhuset, Stockholm University Library, Campus Frescati

Do you want to organise your references and easily create citations and bibliographies? Then reference management software like Zotero might be useful.

On 1 December at 12.00-12.30 the University Library introduces reference management software Zotero.

During the introduction you will learn to:
•    Add references in your Zotero library
•    Organise your library
•    Share references with others
•    Insert citations and bibliographies in your text

Staff from the library will be available after the introduction for an additional 30 minutes to offer more support and answer questions if needed.

Download Zotero and Zotero Connector before the introduction and bring your own computer. You download Zotero on the Zotero website:

https://www.zotero.org/

The introduction is open to all students and staff at Stockholm University.

Note! If you are a member of staff at SU you may need to contact SU-IT to be able to download Zotero to your work computer.

The tutorial below from Griffith College Library takes you through the steps of downloading Zotero, installing the Zotero Connector, creating an account and syncing your library with your account. It also shows you how to add reference styles although this is not something you need to do to prepare for the introduction.
