The department's opening hours

The institution’s premises are open

Monday - Thursday from 07:30 to 17:30

Friday from 07:30 - 16:00.

From Stockholm's city you can walk to Frescati in 20 minutes. You can also get here with the red line (line 14) or by the commuter tram "Roslagsbanan" and several different buses.

Metro and Commuter tram

Take the Roslagsbanan tram or the red metro line (line 14) and get off at "Universitetet". From there you take a ten minute walk to Svante Arrhenius väg 21 A.

Bus

Take bus 50, 639, 670 or 676 to "Universitetet södra". From here, it takes ten minutes to walk to Svante Arrhenius väg 21 A.

Car

The visiting address is Svante Arrhenius väg 21 A. If you are driving from Roslagstull, take Roslagsvägen past the university, then turn right onto Bergiusvägen, followed by a right turn onto Frescativägen. After passing the Swedish Museum of Natural History, turn left onto Svante Arrhenius väg.

If you are driving from the north, turn off Roslagsvägen at the Ekhagen junction just before the Swedish Museum of Natural History, onto Bergiusvägen, and then follow the same route as mentioned above.

Please note that there are a limited number of paid parking spaces available outside the department.

The department has newly renovated and student-friendly premises with good access to study places and group rooms. On the first floor you find the Student Affair Office, a student kitchenette and student café/leisure room. Students also have access to a computer and printing machine on the first floor.

The premises are largely adapted for the disabled and there are paid parking spaces adjacent to the building.
