Cosmetic surgery is a current phenomenon that can raise many questions about the body, identity and relationships where the decision to undergo a surgical breast augmentation can raise concerns about how it is received and what consequences may follow in relationships with family and friends.

To be a relative to someone with dementia can be very exhausting and some develop an empathy fatigue that affects both their own health and the relationship with the relative. The project is to investigate the perceived health of relatives of people with dementia.

Research shows that one's health and illness-related identity is decisive for which health-promoting, disease-preventing and rehabilitative measures the individual performs. How people perceive themselves in the sense of I'm healthy, I'm sick etc. thus appears as an important basis for people's future health.

The presence of persons with dementia in many households, and in all communities in Sweden, is becoming a ‘new normal’ state of affairs, given demographic trends of increasing longevity and an ageing population.

No pain no gain is a popular motto in connection with training. Besides negative pain from injuries it seems that there is such a thing as good pain. Something you even should aim at during exercise and that allegedly contributes to a healthier life

How does masculinity take shape in the therapy room? What does masculinity mean and how can it be given meaning - for the patient and for the therapist? In this project, the different meanings of masculinity are interpreted within the framework of psychodynamic psychotherapy.

The project analyses how massmedia distribute scientific knowledge of the brain to the general public. By taking texts published in Swedish daily newspapers during one year (2019) as a point of departure it aims to further the understanding of how neuroscientific knowledge, and the value of such knowledge, is presented in massmedia.
