Research subject Gender perspectives in and on literature
Like gender studies in general, the interest in gender theory in the field of literary studies spans many different issues, specialisations and historical eras.
In addition to more directly thematically orientated research, such as that focusing on masculinity, femininity, gender, sexuality and love in literature, a variety of theoretical perspectives are represented in our research, such as intersectionality, queer theory, postcolonial theory and psychoanalysis. Gender research is often linked to issues of power and subjectivity.
The Gender Seminar is organised once a semester, often with invited researchers.
