Research subject Integrative biology
Within the research area of integrative biology, we study molecular mechanisms of animal development and physiology.
Using mice and flies as model organisms, processes such as cell specification and differentiation, organogenesis, energy metabolism and thermogenesis are being investigated. The aim is to understand molecular and cellular processes at the organismal level.
