Specialization in Global History of Religions - historical-philological perspectives I
For students admitted to the master program in the History of Religions, the course aims to provide an increased specialization and complementary studies in the History of Religions beyond the intended specialization of the master thesis.
The course is also open for students not enrolled in the master program in the History of Religions and offers a specialization in the History of Religions. The course discusses academic literature relevant to the history of religions, and provide advanced knowledge in historical-philological perspectives.

Welcome activities
Stockholm University organises a series of welcome activities that stretch over a few weeks at the beginning of each semester. The programme is voluntary (attendance is optional) and includes Arrival Service at the airport and an Orientation Day, see more details about these events below.
Your department may also organise activities for welcoming international students. More information will be provided by your specific department.

Course structure
The course consists of one module, Historical-philological perspectives I, 7,5 credits.
Teaching format
The course is an individual literature course, where the literature will be selected in consultation with the examiner.
Assessment
The course is examined on the basis of a written assignment in the form of a paper, and on the basis of an oral examination based in the students submitted paper.
