Research subject Child welfare
Research on child and youth welfare focus on the living conditions of children, youth and families at risk.
Research about social work with children, adolescents and families covers, for example, living conditions of young people with special focus on vulnerable groups such as children subjected to abuse or neglect, young people with behavioral problems, for example substance abuse and criminal behavior as well as school- and family-related difficulties. Studies about the organization of child welfare and the interventions used are of particular interest. Our research includes the way the interventions are organized and carried out, on what ideas they rest, how they are perceived by the parties involved and what results they lead to.
