Research efforts are focused on three main areas: global environmental governance, comparative environmental politics, and learning and participation in natural resource management.
Political science environmental research is interdisciplinary as it focuses on the interaction between society and the natural environment. The research gives a social science perspective on environmental issues as an alternative to the dominated scientific perspective.
