Media and Change in the Middle East
This course deals with media landscape of the Middle East and North Africa as well as the theories and methods in media research in general and towards the Middle East and North Africa specifically.
It aslo gives an overview of the social history of the media in the region as well as the current situation. As such the course both provides the student with the theoretical framework and tools of media and discourse analysis, as well as knowledge on the media landscape of the Middle East.

Teaching format
The instruction will consist of lectures and seminars.
Attendance on all instruction is compulsory.
The instruction will be conducted in the language stated, Swedish or English, for the respective course instance.

Assessment
The course is examined on the basis of written assignments.
