Technology-Enhanced Language Learning and Teaching
In this course, we delve into and problematize current issues in the field of technology-enhanced language learning and language teaching. The course is part of the master's programme in linguistics, but you can also study it as a free-standing course.
The course covers areas such as games and gamification, corpus use, technology-assisted language assessment, flipped classroom methods and digital resources for language learning. We discuss the application of research in teaching practices and investigate the possibilities and limitations of various digital tools and materials.

Admission info for courses
Welcome to the Department of Teaching and Learning. After admission to a course you will receive an e-mail from your course administrator. Please read this e-mail carefully! We have also gathered the central information below:
Registration
Before the semester starts you have to register for your course. Registration is done online and will be open between 7-12 January for most courses. Detailed information on important dates will be found in an email from the department. You need to register on time to confirm and keep your place.
Web-based learning platform
After registration you will get access to Stockholm university's web-based learning platform Athena where course material from teachers will be made available. You use log-in details on Athena as for your university account.

Welcome activities
Stockholm University organises a series of welcome activities that stretch over a few weeks at the beginning of each semester. The programme is voluntary (attendance is optional) and includes Arrival Service at the airport and an Orientation Day, see more details about these events below.
Your department may also organise activities for welcoming international students. More information will be provided by your specific department.

Course structure
This course is taught online with no physical meetings.
We are using the e-meeting service Zoom for online teaching. It is free of charge for all students at Stockholm University:
The course uses Stockholm University's online learning platform, Athena for course information, course activities and assignments.
Teaching format
Teaching comprises online seminars. The course is taught in English and all scheduled activities are obligatory.
Assessment
The course is examined by oral presentations and written assignments.

Schedule
The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course. -
