Tovetorp is 50 this year!

The 26th ”Bloodbath” begins 10:00 Wednesday October 23 at Tovetorp Research Station and ends in the afternoon on Friday.

Bloodbath is our annual Departmental retreat. This year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Tovetorp Field Station and inviting several VIPs to join us on Friday afternoon (which is why we had to move to October this year).

After lunch Friday we will have 4 short talks focused upon field stations and Tovetorp in particular, with additional talks from Profs. Johannesson and Pizzari, along with Associate Professor David Wheatcroft and Dr. Christina Hansen Wheat.

All researchers at the Zoology Department are invited to participate and present a talk (each slot is 20 min. with 15 minutes for the talk and 5 for discussion). If space is limited, PhD students and new arrivals will be prioritized.

Our goal for invited speakers this year was to highlight research done at field stations in Sweden, with a focus upon Tovetorp in particular. We are excited to host these excellent researchers:

Prof. Kerstin Johannesson (Göteborgs Universitet, Sweden)
Prof. Tommaso Pizzari (University of Oxford, UK)
Prof. Jochen Wolf (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Germany)
