Welcome to a workshop on teaching and learning with Centre for the Advancement of University Teaching (CeUL).

This workshop is aimed for teachers at Stockholm University

About the workshop

How can you as a teacher prepare and choose questions for asynchronous discussion that generate meaningful discussion of high quality for the students? How can you involve all students in a discussion forum. These and other questions regarding asynchronous online teaching will be discussed during the workshop that consists of four parts: Introduction and theoretical background, practical use, Introduction and use of Kialo, an online public discussion platform, and summing up. Taking a highly hands-on approach this workshop will arm participants with different teaching activities and teaching resources that they can make use of for their own lessons, in Athena and other systems.

The workshop is a collaboration between Stockholm University and the Singapore University of Social Sciences, co-taught by lecturers from the two Universities. The participants from both Universitys will be able to communicate and collaborate during the workshop through the use of digital media.
