When you study chemistry at Stockholm University, you work closely in small groups with some of the best chemists in the world. You learn how to put theory into practice with extensive lab time and real-life case studies.
MMK offers master's level courses as well as a PhD track. The Chemistry Section offers a very engaging and broad bachelor's programme, held in Swedish.

Bachelor's programmes
The first two years of the bachelor programme, held in Swedish, introduces you to the breadth of chemistry as a subject. In the third year you specialise in your field of interest and complete a diploma project.

The Master’s Program in Sustainable Chemistry provides you with essential skills and knowledge to contribute to the development of a sustainable society. Late application opens on July 16th.
PhD Programmes
Doctoral programme areas: Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry. The 4-year programmes include both coursework and independent research.

Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry
This course focuses on providing new or experienced doctoral supervisors with the means and opportunity to critically reflect on their supervision in order to learn new skills and generate inspiration through teamwork and engagement. The course is aimed at you with at least some experience of supervising a doctoral student.
