We arrange/co-arrange national and international conferences, symposia and workshops. Most of them are held in Swedish, some in English.

New book: Metaphors in Audiovisual Translation

In this monograph, Jan Pedersen investigates how metaphors are handled in three different genres of televisual light entertainment. Jan Pedersen conducts research on subtitling and is Associated Professor in Translation Studies at the Institute for Interpreting and Translation Studies, Stockholm University.

The reading group of Speculative Fiction during fall semester 2025

On October 9 the reading group of Speculative Fiction within the open seminar series of the Master's Programme in Environmental Humanities will have it's second meeting of fall semester 2025. It is lead by professor Andrew Jones, Department of Archaeology and Classical studies and Elisa Viteri Márquez, PhD student at the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies.
