Research group Digital Transformation
The ongoing digital transformation affects us all. For organizations, investing in digital technologies opens up new opportunities for value creation. We are interested in how their performance and culture change because of digital transformation.
Digital technologies are increasingly important for creating value in organizations and society. Many organizations are increasingly focused on expanding their direct investments in digital technologies, and undergoing a digital transformation. This transformation provides numerous opportunities for value creation, such as developing new products and services, automating work processes, and creating new business models. As a result, digital transformation has become a crucial necessity for many organizations and society as a whole.
The research performed by the Digital Transformation research group mainly focuses on the influence of IT governance mechanisms on digital transformation and organizational performance, robotic process automation in public services, and the influence of organizational culture values on digital transformation. Examples of our research are presented below.
IT Governance Influence on Digital Transformation. The project aims to study the influence of IT governance mechanisms on digital transformation as well as on organizations’ performance in the Indonesian banking and insurance industry. We are also developing a framework of key ambidextrous (agile-adaptive and traditional) IT governance mechanisms for a successful digital transformation in organizations from this banking and insurance industry.
