Examinations
There are rules and guidelines regulating the course examinations and supervision of papers. Here, you can read about these rules and guidelines, in order to know how examination works in our department.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism, cheating and disruption is not permitted at Stockholm University and may lead to expelling from the university. It is therefore especially important that you as a student keep informed of what is applicable.
Policy for use of AI
The following points constitute an overall policy for the use of AI tools (eg ChatGPT, Bard or equivalent) at the Department of Social Work at Stockholm University. Please note that special rules specified for specific (sub)courses are superior to the overall policy.
Suspicions of deviations from such (part) course-specific rules and/or the overall policy will be handled according to the university's general system for disciplinary violations.
- Students can and may use AI tools to facilitate the acquisition and transmission of knowledge.
- Students are fully responsible for that all material (texts, summaries, analyses, etc.) submitted for examination is produced by the students themselves. Thus it is not allowed to claim that an AI-generated text is one's own production.
- Students who used AI tools in the work of developing material for examination shall clearly describe the ways in which the tool/s were used. Has e.g. ChatGPT been used, the student must report what questions were asked and how the answers provided were handled and incorporated into the examination task. In case of suspicion of unauthorized use of AI tools in e.g. examination tasks or essays, this is handled in the same way as other cheating or plagiarism cases.
