Housing for international students
Stockholm University offers a variety of student accommodation options to support international students during their stay in Stockholm. This page explains who can apply, how it works, and what to expect.
Accommodation is limited, so it is a good idea to explore alternative housing options at the same time.
Who is eligible to apply
Only certain international students are eligible for university accommodation based on a government regulation.
Accommodation may be offered to
- exchange students studying for at least one semester
- tuition fee-paying students studying for at least one semester
- students with a Stockholm University Scholarship or a Swedish Institute Scholarship, studying for at least one semester
- exchange doctoral students staying for at least one semester.
