Research subject Didactics for responsible and sustainable societies

Central to the subject is how teaching, learning and abilities develop in the encounter between people in different environments and contexts. We investigate didactic issues from a broad, societal perspective, which does not necessarily take its starting point in school with its subject division.

Through digitalization, knowledge can be produced, disseminated and owned in different ways than before. Artificial intelligence opens up new possibilities but also raises ethical questions. Critically examining these changed conditions is an important part of our research. Some of our researchers focus on teaching in primary school. Others on adult learning, in organised forms of education in everyday life as well as in working life. A particular focus for our some of our researchers is higher education didactics.
