You are so alone, and I’m very glad that you came is a site-responsive sound installation written and narrated by actor Liv Hargne Granath, exploring vulnerability, loneliness, and friendship.

Created in response to Pipilotti Rist’s practice and visual language, Hargne Granath presents a new body of work which inhabits the corners, stairwells, and landings of Accelerator. Echoing throughout transitional spaces, the sound installation presents a fragmented narration of a character seeking a listener and a confidante – a character who is, indeed, all of us.

You are so alone, and I’m very glad that you came employs confession and surreal imagery to explore fantastical yearning and the boundaries of the self. Through secrets and speculation, Hargne Granath crafts the best friend we wish to confide in. The accompanying publication, including the printed script and a curatorial essay, provides an additional, tangible dimension to the installation.

The opening takes place between 18:30 and 20:00 on 12 November, with an introductory speech at 19:00. All are invited to listen and daydream collectively, and are welcome to experience the current exhibitions in relation to Hargne Granath’s narration.

You are so alone, and I’m very glad that you came will remain on view for two weeks, aligning with Accelerator’s opening hours, until 26 November.

Free entry, no registration required.
