The 5th International PalaeoArc Conference will be organized at Stockholm University, The Swedish Museum of Natural History and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences over 3 days (Monday May 27–Wednesday May 29), with an optional pre-conference excursion (Sunday May 26).

The scientific session on Wednesday May 29 will be dedicated to presentations on Arctic/sub-Arctic paleoclimates of the last interglacial (LIG). This session will be run jointly with a smaller targeted workshop entitled: LIGA: Spatial Patterns of Last Interglacial Arctic climate change (LIGA) that will continue on the Thursday and Friday of that week.

The purpose of LIGA is bring together paleoclimate proxy and modeling experts to compare spatial patterns of climate change during the LIG with today and investigate to what extent it is or isn't an analog for the future.
