The Sverker Lerheden foundation will in January-February of each year award stipends to young researchers in mathematics to conduct postdoctoral studies for two years at the Department of Mathematics at Stockholm University, with a possible extension of a third year.

The call each year opens in October-November. The application can be written in Swedish or in English. Read more about how to apply here.

The postdoctoral studies at Stockholm University should normally begin the same year as the stipend was awarded.

The applicant does not need to have been awarded their PhD when applying, but needs to have done that before the fellowship is paid out.

Note that before applying, the applicant has to first contact a permanently employed researcher at the Department of Mathematics at Stockholm University to get a letter of support.
