New book: Nell Walden, Der Sturm, and the Collaborative Cultures of Modern Art
Jessica Sjöholm Skrubbe, associate professor in Art History at the Department of Culture and Aesthetics, is the author of the new book Nell Walden, Der Sturm, and the Collaborative Cultures of Modern Art.

In the book Jessica Sjöholm Skrubbe makes a a feminist reading of hitherto overlooked archival material and examines Nell Walden’s art collection as well as art production to reveal her significant impact on the Sturm organisation. Jessica Sjöholm Skrubbe has also led the research project "Masculinity and Femininity in Herwarth and Nell Walden’s Der Sturm", financed by the Swedish Research Council.
Based on hitherto overlooked archival material, this research project studied Nell Walden’s significant impact on the Sturm organisation through a feminist reading of supportive labour that highlights the centrality of collaborative work within the modern art world.
