Prioritize
Put the Journalism Studies courses MA-level priority 1 and 2 (highest up)
Minimum 4 course to cover 30 credits
You will be admitted as a program student to the Journalism Studies Courses MA-level BUT there is a risk you will not be admitted to your first choice for the elective courses - so apply to extra courses to be on the safe side and get a full Spring semester of 30 credits.
Apply outside of Stockholm University?
You may choose courses from other universities, even abroad. If so, do check with us also to be on the safe side the courses can be included in your Master's Degree. Most will be OK.
Transfer of Credits/Use older courses?
If you have previous courses that is not included in your Bachelor Degree, you may consider use the in your Master's Programme. Talk to our student counselor about this.

How this program is constructed - a friendly reminder
This program is primarily in Journalism studies.
You will end up with 120 ects when finished.
After the first semester (Fall) you will have to make choices and apply to courses.
In the end you will end up with minimum:
- 5 courses of 7,5 credits at MA level in Journalism Studies = 37,5 credits
- 2 courses in Media and Communiation Studies = 15 credits
- 4 courses of 7,5 credits optional subject (may be at BA level) =30 credits
- 1 course of 7,5 credits mandatory faculty course = 7,5 credits
- 1 course of 30 credits Master's Thesis = 30 credits

Total 120 credits
