Stefan Åström is a Professor at MBW and on August 1 he became the new deputy Head of Department at BIG. His predecessor was Niklas Janz who is now Head of Department.
As Niklas Janz has taken over as Head of BIG, Mattias Mannervik has taken over as chairman of the Biology Section's Pedagogical Council. Here Mattias writes about the plans for the council's continued activities.
It is with pleasure and pride that I have now taken over the head of department at BIG from Ann-Kristin Östlund Farrants. Anki has led this department for six years, and during that time successfully navigated us through many challenges, not least the pandemic with all that it meant for teaching.
