At Stockholm University, we conduct extensive and outstanding research across many fields of biology, from genomics and Baltic mussels that produce greehouse gases to the costs of advanced brains and natural resource management. All our teachers are all active researchers, ensuring that the teaching is always up to date with the latest findings. A mix of lectures, seminars, group work, and practical lab sessions enhances both your theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Small groups make it easy to interact with teachers and classmates. You will gain fundamental skills to critically evaluate and apply established scientific methods to current research and societal challenges. During excursions and field courses, you will study animals and plants in their natural habitats and practice hands-on ecological work.
