Incoming exchange students

There are many good reasons to choose to come to Stockholm University as an Exchange student, including the strong research connection and stimulating learning environment. Our proximity to the capital city, Stockholm as well as the beautiful Swedish nature are other reasons to choose to come here. And importantly we offer a wide selection of courses in English at both basic and advanced level.

Eligibility

To be eligible for studies in biology through a student exchange program the following requirements must be met in order to apply.

  • There must be an agreement between BIG and your home institution which allows for student exchange
  • You must be registered as a student with one of our partner institutions
  • You must be nominated by your home university for a study period abroad at BIG

Nominated students are expected to be highly proficient in English (spoken and written) in order to have a succesful learning experience.

 

Step-by-step

  1. Your home university nominates you*
  2. We send you a link to our online registration system
  3. Fill in the Application form and send it to us (info.big@su.se) together with your Transcript of Records

*Contact the exchange coordinator at your home university regarding the nomination process.

Dead line for nominations
1 May - autumn semester (August – January)
1 October - spring semester (January – June)
