Research
The main research areas at the Institute for Interpreting and Translation Studies are the following: audiovisual translation, children and interpreting, cognitive aspects of interpreting, cognitive aspects of translation, interpreter-mediated interaction in the fields of migration, law, health, education, diplomacy, journalism etc., interpreter training, sociology of translation, translation as textual practice, laypersons as interpreters, and speech-to-text interpreting.
