PhD Studies

PhD Studies at the Department of Culture and Aesthetics

When a position as a PhD student at the department falls vacant, the appointment will be advertised on the university's website. This occurs in conjunction with other applications to the university (March 15 and September 15), but not necessarily every semester nor every year. Keep an eye on the website, and please contact the department if you are interested in applying.

Postgraduate Studies

The general goal of research is to gain knowledge so we may better understand the world we live in and if possible change it for the better. The purpose of PhD studies is to train doctoral students in the disciplinary and academic tradition, but above all to develop independent and critically minded researchers. This page contains some basic facts for those interested in pursuing PhD studies.
