Three new doctoral theses in copyright law

Lund University Centre for Business Law (ACLU) and the Research Department for Media Law at Stockholm Centre for Commercial Law (SCCL) invites to "Three new doctoral theses in copyright law".
During 2021 three doctoral dissertations were submitted for public defence at three separate Faculties of Law in Sweden. During the seminar, the new juris doctors will present their dissertations:
- Kacper Szkalej, jur. dr: Copyright in the Age of Access to Legal Digital Content: A study of EU copyright law in the context of consumptive use of protected content, Faculty of Law, Uppsala University. Date of public defence 29 september.
- Aurelija Lukoseviciene, jur. dr: Authors and Creative Users: Addressing the Conceptual Challenges of Digital Creativity to EU Copyright Law from the Perspective of the Author, Facutly of Law, Lund University. Date of public defence 1 October.
- Branka Marušić: The Autonomous Legal Concept of Communication to the Public in the European Union, Faculty of Law, Stockholm University. Date of public defence 29 October.
The presentations will be followed by comments and a discussion. The seminar will be held in English.
The seminar takes place as a hybrid meeting in Lund, Pufendorfsalen, Juridicum, Lilla Gråbrödergatan 3C, and, for those who can not or do not want to attend in Lund, online via Zoom. In Lund, the seminar is followed with drinks and light snacks.
