Three New Guest Researchers at the SCCL

The Stockholm Centre for Commercial Law (SCCL) is delighted to welcome three new guest researchers this autumn. With expertise ranging from cryptocurrencies and capital markets law to arbitration, they bring valuable new perspectives to our research community.

The Stockholm Centre for Commercial Law (SCCL) at the Faculty of Law, Stockholm University, is pleased to welcome three new guest researchers this autumn.

Marta Ruggirello, Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, is joining us during September. She holds a PhD and has conducted research on cryptocurrencies as means of payment in a regulatory context.

Andreas Gustafsson is a new guest researcher at SCCL and the Swedish Corporate Governance Institute (SCGI). With extensive experience in capital markets law and regulation – from senior positions in practice to his current role as doctoral candidate – he is now conducting a research project comparing the British and Swedish stock markets. The aim is to identify regulatory frameworks that promote growth in the wider economy. His work seeks to develop a research-based theory of the “stock market ecosystem” and provide a roadmap for assessing and shaping future policy initiatives.

Robin Ollus joins us from the University of Helsinki. His research focuses on arbitration law, in particular on the competence of arbitral tribunals to address allegations or suspicions of criminal conduct in international commercial arbitration. By combining perspectives from both criminal procedure and arbitration, and by comparing practices in Finland, Sweden and England, his project explores a largely under-researched field that is sure to spark valuable discussions.

Stockholm Centre for Commercial Law (SCCL) is under superintendence of the Area Board of Humanities and Social Sciences at Stockholm University. SCCL was inaugurated with inspiration from the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary, University of London. Today around 25 researchers, focusing on Commercial Law, are affiliated to SCCL, which makes SCCL to the leading research centre in Commercial Law in the Nordic region.
