Degrees

When you have completed your studies at Stockholm University, you can apply for a degree certificate. There are two degrees at the first and second cycle at the Department of Statistics: Bachelor's degree and Master's degree.

When you have completed 180 ECTS credits, of which 90 ECTS credits are in Statistics, you can apply for a Bachelor's degree in statistics. You will then have written a 15 ECTS crecits Bachelor's thesis in statistics.

With a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, you are eligible for the Master's Program in Statistics, 120 ECTS credits.

During the last semester within the Master's Program in Statistics, you will write a 30 ECTS credits Master's thesis. When you have completed the Master's program you can apply for a Master's degree in Statistics.

When you meet the requirements for a degree, you can apply for a certificate through Ladok or at the Degree office at Stockholm University.
