"It's easy to bring internationally well-known researchers here"
Denis Searby is a Professor of Romance Studies and Classics at Stockholm University.
His research investigates the transmission of the classical tradition of Greece and Rome to the Middle Ages and beyond.
Ancient and medieval documents
”I have been working lately in textual philology, which is the interpretation and editing of ancient and medieval documents in the classical languages, Greek and Latin. On my to-do list is also the decipherment and edition of two documentary papyri from Egypt.”
Off the beaten track and much appreciated
He is very pretty impressed with the Swedish capital.
“It's great for someone like me who likes both city and country life, and it is easy to bring internationally well-known researchers here. Sweden is off the beaten track but a much appreciated country among many foreign academics.”
