Statistical data modelling (2,5 ECTS)
The course "Statistical data modelling" (PH016F1) provides a practical introduction to advanced statistical analysis and modelling. The course gives an overview of statistical concepts, methods, and models used for the analysis of associations between multiple variables. After the course, the student will have a basic understanding of, for example, confounding, mediation, and interaction, and will be able to perform analyses of associations using multiple variables.

Course content
The purpose of the course is to give the student a practical introduction to basic statistics. The course includes an overview of basic statistical concept and measurements. After the course, the student will be able to manage quantitative data materials and generate descriptive statistics using statistical software, as well to present and interpret these statistics.

This course is offered in collaboration with the Master’s programme in public health sciences: Societal and individual perspectives. The teaching occasions are to be attended jointly with the master students. All registered students will get access to the schedule and course material in Athena
